Headlight Restoration
Yellowed, hazy lenses were cutting night visibility and ageing the whole front end of this ten-year-old hatchback. Replacement units cost a fortune — restoration was the smart answer.
The challenge
Severely oxidised polycarbonate with UV-coat failure on both lenses, plus moisture staining on the nearside unit.
Work performed
- Multi-grade wet sanding to remove failed UV coating and oxidation.
- Three-stage machine polish restoring optical clarity.
- Ceramic UV sealant applied and IR-cured for lasting protection.
- Beam pattern and alignment check on our headlight tester.
The result
Crystal-clear lenses with UV sealant and dramatically better night vision — at a tenth of replacement cost.
