Paint Correction
Years of sun and tunnel washes had left this black saloon oxidised, hologrammed and flat. Black shows everything — so correction had to be methodical and measured.
The challenge
Heavy oxidation, buffer holograms from a previous cheap polish, and thin readings on two panels that ruled out aggressive cutting.
Work performed
- Paint-depth mapping across 40 points; thin panels flagged for refine-only.
- Two-stage cut and refine, panel by panel, in the dust-controlled studio.
- Hologram removal verified under three light sources including sunlight.
- Polymer sealant application and a maintenance wash plan handover.
The result
Deep, liquid-black gloss with holograms eliminated and clear coat preserved well within safe limits.
- 92% defect removal with only 3–4 microns of clear coat used.
- Thin panels refined safely — zero burn-through risk taken.
- Owner booked onto quarterly maintenance washes to protect the finish.
